ReplyDeletedamn i was wrong. hester panim refers to the 'hidden face of god'. it is a yiddish term that has to do with a certain part of the old testament. google it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, true that. These days it's used a lot to talk about why God doesn't intervene visibly in human affairs after the old testament and such. It's become a major idea certain parts of modern Jewish philosophy. Sick piece, Hen.
