This is a really great article posted on Core77. The focus is how the current economic situation is affecting product design but the author has an almost historical approach. It's cool to read things we've lived through (and are living) analyzed then framed in some type of trend or context. Especially because he talks a lot about 'context' in the article! Some very interesting insights regarding capitalism and consumer culture. Definitely worth the read. Link below.
