bikes are life (empowering).

Today was the first day that I rode my bike to work, a 5.5 mile ride, both ways. I rode east on bonita and then south on garey, over the train tracks, into the city of Pomona. Im riding the red Torelli, la bicicletta che vince. It felt great to slow the traffic on the roads down a little bit, to a more human speed.... gosh, where the fuck is everyone rushing to? I biked like everyone else was driving, holding down my personal space.

"When humans invented the bicycle they reached the peak of their attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of humankind (unlike subsequent inventions for humankind's convenience) the more they used it, the fitter their bodies became. Here, for once, was a product of a persons brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when humans invented the bicycle."

...i swear riding today has nothing to do with having a broken car...

Ride on.
Power to the people
